Intent-specific shortlist
Best Red Light Panels for Home Use: Pick by Priority
A transparent, desk-researched shortlist of three red-light panels that make different tradeoffs on price, size, wavelength mix and documentation.
30-second shortlist
Choose Hooga PRO300 for value and unusually clear certification caveats, MitoPRO 300X for a compact six-peak feature set, or BIOMAX 450 when a larger panel and broader published spectrum matter more than price. None is Homeapotherapy hands-on tested yet.
Hooga PRO300
A value-oriented compact panel with refreshingly explicit certification language from the brand; the main tradeoff is a simpler wavelength set and no finished-panel FDA 510(k), UL or ETL claim on Hooga’s own quality page.
See the decision →MitoPRO 300X
A compact premium panel for shoppers who value a broad wavelength mix and controls, but the published performance and regulatory claims still need to be read as manufacturer-supplied unless independently verified.
See the decision →PlatinumLED BIOMAX 450
A larger, feature-dense panel with a seven-wavelength mix and manufacturer-linked testing documents; it is the expensive option in this pilot and Homeapotherapy has not independently verified the brand’s regulatory or performance claims.

This is an editorial shortlist, not a pretend lab ranking. We selected products that create distinct decisions and have enough official documentation to audit. The red-light-v1 method weights treatment utility, transparency, usability, build, warranty/returns, documentation, safety/regulatory clarity and value. Commission weight is zero.
The biggest pattern we found
Documentation quality is itself a product feature. Hooga explicitly states the limit of its finished-panel certifications. Mito publishes multiple measurement figures and testing context. PlatinumLED links testing documents. Those facts are more useful than simply copying a badge or a maximum-output headline.
What would make this page stronger
A controlled hands-on setup test across all three, measurements with the same instrument and geometry, and direct verification of regulatory identifiers. Until then, every card keeps the desk researched label.
