Side-by-side facts
Vollara Air Purifiers vs HEPA Competitors: Specs Side by Side
Compare Vollara, Coway, Blueair, Austin Air and IQAir by airflow or CADR basis, coverage, filtration, power, sound, ozone or ionization status and warranty.
Key differences
The headline square-foot figures are not directly interchangeable: Vollara manuals publish fan airflow plus manufacturer diffusion/coverage estimates, while conventional competitors may publish CADR, ACH-derived room sizes or their own maximum-coverage statements. FreshAir Mobile is a personal-scale 50-square-foot device, not a like-for-like room purifier. The Vollara Pro+ also has a distinct high-ozone Depart Room Mode restricted by its manual to unoccupied spaces.

Product labels can change; follow the current package. When a comparable field is missing, the table says so rather than substituting a differently defined number.
Compare the measurement basis behind square-foot claims
A purifier can publish a very large square-foot figure while using a completely different test basis from another device. AHAM CADR, air changes per hour (ACH), raw fan airflow, and a manufacturer’s own coverage model answer different questions.
The table preserves the measurement basis next to each number. Vollara’s cited manuals provide fan airflow and manufacturer coverage statements. Coway publishes CADR plus several ACH-based room sizes. Blueair publishes current CADR figures and time-to-clean room sizes and explicitly says its web values were updated for newer U.S. DOE standards. IQAir publishes six-speed fan airflow plus its own maximum-room-coverage statement. Austin Air does not publish a directly comparable CADR/ACH room-size value in the source used here.
FreshAir Mobile is a personal-scale device
The cited FreshAir Mobile Rechargeable manual frames it as a single-occupant portable unit covering up to 50 square feet. That is a different use case from a high-throughput room purifier, so missing CADR and sound fields remain explicit rather than implying equivalence.
The Pro+ needs its own safety reading
Vollara’s Air & Surface Pro+ is not simply a higher-spec version of the Pro. Its cited manual includes a purification plate and a Depart Room Mode with ozone output stated above 2.0 ppm, and instructs that mode to be used only when people and pets are absent. The manual also says the model does not meet California requirements and cannot be shipped to California or Canada.
EPA’s general guidance on ozone-generating air cleaners says an EPA establishment number is not an endorsement and warns against using ozone generators in occupied spaces. That is general safety context, not product-specific testing of the Pro+.
Current-source check
The manufacturer product/manual links used for these records were rechecked on September 17, 2026. Where a manufacturer does not publish one of the comparison fields, the table now says so explicitly rather than leaving an unexplained blank. Warranty conditions are summarized only where the current manufacturer source supports them.
Evidence limits
No common-protocol chamber test in this record measures particle removal, ozone or long-term filter cost across all of these products. Manufacturer specifications can still inform a purchase when their measurement definitions and use conditions stay attached.
