A conventional filtered room purifier with explicit CADR figures and room coverage stated at multiple air-changes-per-hour levels.

Fit signals

See documented specifications and comparison context.

Potential constraints

See technical gaps, safety notes and source limitations.

Key tradeoff: Its standardized clean-air metrics are useful for ventilation-style comparison, but they are not the same type of claim as Vollara's ActivePure diffusion coverage figures.

This is a factual fit-and-tradeoff summary, not a product recommendation. Formula, device and brand claims remain manufacturer claims unless the cited source is explicitly regulatory or independent testing.

What the current documentation establishes

Coway publishes CADR of 249 CFM smoke, 261 CFM dust and 230 CFM pollen and gives room-size examples at multiple air-change rates: 1,860 sq ft at 1 ACH, 930 sq ft at 2 ACH and 465 sq ft at 4 ACH. The filter stack is a washable pre-filter plus Coway’s Max2 activated-carbon/HEPA filter.

The manufacturer lists 64 W maximum power, 22–54 dBA sound, 20.5 lb weight and dimensions of 18.5 × 19.7 × 8.3 inches.

Why this is useful beside Vollara

Coway’s room-size claims expose the air-change basis, while Vollara’s manuals use fan airflow and manufacturer coverage/diffusion statements. Putting those numbers into one undifferentiated square-foot column would be misleading.

Ozone and ionization disclosure

The cited Airmega 250 page lists a three-stage mechanical/carbon/HEPA filtration system and does not list an ionizer stage or publish a numeric ozone-output specification. That is a documentation statement, not an independent zero-ozone measurement.

Warranty

Coway’s current U.S. warranty policy lists one year for internal/functional parts and, for Airmega models outside its specifically excluded product groups, three years for motor/electronic parts. Eligibility depends on purchase source, registration/proof-of-purchase requirements and the current warranty terms.

Evidence boundary

Homeapotherapy has not independently reproduced CADR, acoustics, power use or emissions measurements. Values shown here are manufacturer-published specifications.

What the current record does not establish

  • The current product page does not publish an ozone-output specification; Homeapotherapy has not independently measured ozone.

Source labels preserve provenance. Manufacturer specifications, ingredient lists and performance claims are not treated as independent clinical evidence; regulatory records and independent measurements are identified separately when available.

Safety first

What should make you slow down?

Use the current manufacturer instructions; CADR and ACH-based room size describe clean-air delivery, not a general health-treatment claim, and the cited product page does not publish a numeric ozone-output specification.
